Benadryl Extra Strength Itch Stopping Cream provides relief from pain and itching temporarily. This product helps with symptoms related to insect bites, minor burns, sunburn, minor skin irritations, minor cuts, scrapes, and rashes due to poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. This cream also helps to dry the oozing and weeping of poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. Do not use this cream on large areas of the body or with any other product containing diphenhydramine, even one taken by mouth. Before using this cream to treat itchiness related to chicken pox or measles, please consult a doctor. If over 2 years old, apply this cream to the affected area no more than 3 to 4 times daily, and consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve or worsen after 7 days of use. For external use only, do not swallow.
