Description
AOR Benfotiamine 80mg
Benfotiamine’s ability to penetrate cell membranes increases its bioavailability over conventional thiamin supplements.* This allows for the use of benfotiamine to elicit all of the benefits of vitamin B1, such as the metabolism of carbohydrates, protein and fat, in a good manner.*
Although thiamin is a powerful AGE-inhibitor, it is poorly absorbed by the body. Benfotiamine helps thiamin’s AGE benefits while being able to pass directly into cells.* This makes it more bioavailable and less toxic than other thiamin supplements.
Benfotiamine is a natural form of thiamin (vitamin B1). Thiamin is an inhibitor of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs). AGEs are produced by a detrimental chemical process in which proteins are damaged by sugar products.
Benefits
- May block the formation of harmful sugar products*
- Potentially support nerve function in diabetics*
