Chlorpheniramine is for the temporary relief of allergy symptoms in dogs and cats. It is available as 4 mg tablets (OTC) and 12 mg extended-release capsules (Rx). The usual dose for dogs is 2–8 mg orally every 8 to 12 hours. The usual dose for cats is 1–2 mg orally every 8 to 12 hours.
